This backyard game camera hits our #3 spot for a few reasons. It has the quality of the Apeman H55 game camera. How to Use Backyard Game Cameras

Getting good pictures or videos of wildlife in your backyard can be tough with a game camera. There are a few steps that can help with setting up game cameras to get the best outcome.

Get a Good Camera

Choosing a good game camera can be hard. This is due to the large amounts of different game cameras out there. If you need help finding a good game camera make sure to use the above reviews or check out Youtube reviews on cameras before you buy them!

Know Your Wildlife

This might sound a little weird because usually, people are getting game cameras to see what wildlife is in their area. What we mean by this, however, is to do some research into what animals live near you. Knowing what animals live in your area of the world can help you to know what signs to look for that certain animals leave behind. This can help you know where to put your game camera for optimal pictures and videos.

Look For Animal Sign

When looking for a spot to set up your game camera, look for animal signs. Where ever animals go they leave some evidence behind that they were there. They will leave behind things like tracks, scat, and hair. Animals usually keep the same habits for a long period of time. This means that if you find animal signs somewhere they will most likely come back to the same spot. These spots are perfect for setting up game cameras. If you can not find animal signs, that doesn’t mean that there are not animals in the area. Sometimes rain or wind can make these signs hard to find or even wash them away. If you cant find animal signs you may need to use a trial and error system to find where animals are coming in at.

Don’t Check Your Camera Every Day

Checking your game cameras every day can be very discouraging. Sometimes animals can go 2 or 3 days without visiting some areas. This means that some of your game cameras won’t have any pictures or videos on your camera. We suggest initially checking your game cameras once a week initially. This will allow you to see generally what is coming through the spot you have chosen for your game cameras. After a while of checking your game cameras, you can check them after longer times if you would like.

Adjust When Necessary

Sometimes cameras need to be moved. If you go a long period of time without getting any pictures or videos of animals, it’s time to adjust them. Some animals only winter in some areas and during the summer and spring months move to higher elevations or just simply change their patterns. Leaving cameras in an area where you are not getting man pictures for long periods can make it so you miss out on awesome pictures or videos in another area. This will make it so you can always get pictures and videos of animals in your area.
