If you see a mountain lion or catch one on camera in your backyard, make sure to reach out to your local wildlife officials to help know what to do. Mountain lions are very dangerous and have killed people before. If you ever run into one in the wild, give them their space and stay far away from them. These are wild animals and they will hurt you if you encroach on their territory.

If you encounter a threatening mountain lion in the wild, look big and yell at it. As you start to yell at it take off coats or jackets and wave them around. This will you look very scary and big to the mountain lion. While doing this slowly back away from it and always keep your eyes on the mountain lion so you know where it is at.
