California Trail Camera Laws
California only has a few laws pertaining to the use of trail cameras. That is if you are using trail cameras on private property, you have to get permission to put them up prior to set up. Also, it is illegal to put trail cameras on military bases or property of any kind. If you come across any trail cameras as a reminder it is illegal to touch, remove, or take the footage off the trail cameras without consent from the owner of the trail camera unless it is on your property. If someone has set them up on your private property reach out to your local wildlife officers for assistance. As a reminder Laws update yearly. Make sure to check your local wildlife laws before you put cameras up!
