Iowa Trail Camera Laws
In Iowa, recent changes to trail camera laws now make it illegal to leave trail cameras out overnight on public lands. While trail camera usage on public lands has been restricted, private property owners can still use them without these limitations. On private property, landowners and authorized individuals have the freedom to set up trail cameras at any time, including overnight, to monitor wildlife, track game, or enhance security.
